Biofilms: about us

The M&FMB programme funded several research projects, which
dealt with the study of biofilms and cell signalling. These studies
have shown that biofilms are far more complex than previously
thought and that microorganisms within biofilms can chemically
communicate with each other and with eukaryotes in ways,
which may be exploitable.
